Iconic stars from the beloved movie Mean Girls have reunited, fuelling rumours of a long-awaited reunion film.
Recent paparazzi snaps capture Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert – better known as The Plastics – shooting what appears to be an advertisement for the Super Bowl. The plot thickens.
Rumours suggest that only the Super Bowl could foot the bill for such Hollywood heavyweights, but hold on – the game isn’t until February 2024… Others speculate a Pepsi commercial, perhaps?
Intriguingly, Lohan brandished a sign proclaiming her allegiance to the Plastics Club that read “Plastics Club Member, Est. 2004. On Wednesdays we wear pink.”
According to reliable sources at Page Six, the Plastics quartet, including Rachel McAdams, are reuniting for a musical adaptation of the beloved film. Wait, whaat?! Mean Girls, the musical movie?
If this announcement on the Mean Girls Twitter page is anything to go by, a musical adaptation of the movie is actually coming to theatres January next year.

United since the film’s release in 2004, this tight-knit group, led by comedy genius Tina Fey, remains as close as ever. Joining them once again will be Fey and co-star Tim Meadows, reprising their original roles for this musical extravaganza. While this recent announcement is “so fetch” we continue to wait for a Mean Girls sequel.
