It’s time to start looking for cheap flights to New Zealand, as you’ll definitely want to book your next holiday there. Hobbiton NZ welcomes all Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fans to step inside a real-life hobbit hole and embark on a magical journey.

Previously, visitors to the Waikato Hobbiton Movie Set could only admire the charming Hobbit Holes from a distance. But now, with an exciting upgrade, tourists can explore these mystical dwellings and immerse themselves in J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy world.

Hobbiton’s CEO, Russell Alexander, revealed that the upgrade has been in progress since 2014.

“Many visitors expressed their desire to venture inside a Hobbit hole, and we decided to make it happen,” Alexander said.

“I never imagined Hobbiton could reach this level of enchantment. It truly completes the whole experience. I’m thrilled with the outcome. It exceeded all expectations.”

Now, wizards, elves, hobbits, and everyone in between can visit the homes of the Proudfoot and Twofoot families. These families are said to be distant relatives of the famous Baggins.

Over 80% of the Hobbit Holes are designed for us humans, so there’s no need to be too concerned about fitting inside, unless you’re Gandalf.

Many of the props in these hideaway homes were crafted from scratch. Some of the furniture even came from thrift shops! Middle Earth’s Hobbits know how to find great bargains.
