A 35-year-old woman has been charged over an alleged stabbing in Mareeba.
It will be alleged the woman attended an address where an altercation has occurred with a 40-year-old Normanton man.
During the altercation the 40-year-old man has suffered a stab wound to the chest.

The man was driven to Mareeba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Investigations led police to another address where the 35-year-old Normanton woman was taken into custody without incident.
The woman has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm (domestic violence) and contravention of a domestic violence order.
She is expected to appear before Mareeba Magistrates Court today.
