A man and a woman are being treated for smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire at Smithfield this morning.
The flames broke out just before 3am at a Speculation Street home.
Fire crews attended the scene wearing ventilation gear, leaving shortly before 4am.

Two patients in their 20s have been taken to Cairns Hospital in stable conditions.
