The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the death of a pedestrian at Mission Beach this morning.
Emergency services were called to Marine Parade at 11:30am, following reports two people had been hit by a truck.
A 67-year-old man died at the scene, and a 63-year-old woman was taken to Innisfail Hospital with minor injuries.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with information or relevant vision is urged to contact police.
As of 2:30pm, Marine Parade was closed in both directions and Porter Promenade was closed between Boyett Street to the north, and Campbell Street to the south.
Motorists were urged to find alternative routes and expect delays for several hours.
