A police investigation has led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man over three assaults at Earlville.
It’s alleged the White Rock man kicked and punched a woman, who is known to him, outside a shopping centre on Mulgrave Road on December 2.
An 82-year-old man and a 55-year-old man both approached the alleged offender calling on him to stop, but were both punched in the head.
The offender then fled the scene with the women.
Police attended a White Rock address yesterday morning where they arrested and later charged the man.
He has been charged with one count each of contravene a domestic violence order, assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence), serious assault of person over 60, and common assault.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before the Cairns Magistrates Court on December 18.
The two male victims were not known to the man and did not require medical attention.
The woman is receiving assistance from support agencies.
