Man charged over boat crash which injured three people

A 50-year-old man has been charged over a crash between two boats at the Trinity Inlet, which left three people injured.

It’s alleged a commercial jetboat struck a 4.6 metre aluminium boat on the south eastern side of Admiralty Island, on September 1.

The three people on the second boat, sustained minor injuries.

The 50-year-old man was charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vessel.

It is further alleged the man tested positive to an initial drug test, however this result is subject to further testing.

Investigations are ongoing.
