Police have charged 55 people with 221 offences in a week-long police operation across Cairns.
Between November 5 to 12 Taskforce Guardian conducted its eleventh deployment to the region.
The operation was aimed at disrupting and preventing youth offending across the Far North.
Over the week one adult was charged with one offence and 54 young people on 220 offences.
Authorities say 28 young people were also diverted from the youth justice system, with 164 files finalised and several young people referred to support agencies.
Operation Guardian is aimed at enhancing public safety, through co-ordinated police patrols, targeted investigations along with community and family engagement.
