A heartbreaking defeat for the Cowboys in the clash against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks during Saturday’s home opener.
The Round 2 match didn’t go according to plan for the Cowboys with the Sharks dominating North Queensland 36 to 12.
Coach Todd Payton was visibly disappointed with the team’s performance at Queensland Country Bank Stadium and is yet to confirm if outside back Braidon Burns will play in Friday’s match against the Broncos, following a hamstring injury.
The devastating loss also put a dampener on the debut of second-rower Kai O’Donnell, who says his performance could have been better.
The Cowboys will face off against the Broncos in Round 3 at Suncorp Stadium on Friday.
