A 21-year-old man has been shot multiple times by police at Woree.
Police were initially called to a Westcourt address at 5.30am this morning, following reports of an incident involving distressed woman.
It’s alleged the man threatened officers with weapons at round 8.00am at Westcourt, before stealing a marked police vehicle.

Police pursued the vehicle and intercepted it at Sondrio Street in Woree, where the man was allegedly shot by a police officer multiple times.
He has been taken to Cairns Hospital, conscious and in a stable condition.
