A Lockhart River woman has been charged over an alleged assault at an Earlville business.
Police say that around 9.30pm Saturday, the 32-year-old woman was at a Mulgrave Road hotel when she approached a 35-year-old Earlville woman, hitting her several times in the head.
The younger woman has been charged with one count of common assault and is due to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court today.
